At our January 2024 Cor Gathering, Deacon-in-Training Keith O'Neill led discussions on the Catholic Family and its role in what Saint John Paul II calls, "The Way of the Church." When Christian families respond in this way to the design of the Creator, they become a “domestic church” that, as Pope Paul VI explained, mirrors “the various aspects of the entire Church.[1]
Our Formation session included the Into the Breach chapter on "Family." The lesson includes how civilizations that grow out of family life thrive, while those that fail result from the collapse of Family Life. [2]. Discussions included how the "rise of civilizations grow out of family life," and how family dynamics have affects on society at large. These dynamics include divorce and fatherless families.
Our Prayer session included the Rosary and how it is a "Scripture-based prayer."
