Our Gathering on Saturday, 15 March, is the Second Saturday of Lent. The traditional Gospel reading for the Second Sunday is the Transfiguration of Jesus. This year's Gospel is from Luke, but we will discuss Mark's edition for our discussions.
We will also read and discuss a homily presented by Cardinal Gerald LeCroix, Archbishop of Quebec and Primate of Canada 6 August 2024, the Feast of the Transfiguration, at the opening Mass for the Knights of Columbus's Supreme Convention. Cardinal LeCroix makes some interesting observations on the two occasions that our Father made HIs declaration, "This is my beloved Son."
For our Prayer segment, we will honor two of our most favorite saints whose feast days are in the week following our Gathering. The Feast of Saint Patrick is on Monday the 17th while the feast of Saint Joseph is on Wednesday the 19th.
You are welcome to download and read the documents posted below. If you cannot attend our Gathering, use the Lectio Devina "guide" to pray over the Mark's Gospel passage of the Transfiguration.
